Drug resistance sequencing in FFPE specimens

Next-generation sequencing has been reported effective to give drug susceptibility results by testing Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) isolates or sputum samples containing the bacteria. However, whether this technology is effective for formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues is unclear. In this study, we established an amplicon sequencing technology to characterize mutations associated with drug resistance in MTB from FFPE tissues.
