Temporal genome-wide DNA methylation of post-smolt Pacific salmon challenged with Piscirickettsia salmonis

The bacterial disease may activate global and local immune responses generating intricate responses with significant biological impact in the host. However, it is scarcely understood how bacterial infections influence fish epigenetic alterations. To gain knowledge and identified methylation patterns in Pacific salmon challenged with P. salmonis, reduced representation bisulfite libraries from a time course design and spleen tissue, were constructed and sequenced on the Illumina Hiseq X Ten platform.
