Muon interactions with quadrupolar nuclear spins have occasionally been studied by theirlevel crossing resonance spectra. In an ideal case the quadrupole resonance level crossing, QRLC, not only gives an indication that the muon has implanted close to the nucleus in question, but can also give the quadrupole parameters for this particular nuclear spin. However the QRLC is broadened by magnetic field dependent interactions, often to the extent of making them unobservable. The aim of the proposed experiment is to see whether radiofrequency irradiation, both in the laboratory and the rotating frame at the appropriate frequency corresponding to the level crossing condition can be used to manipulate the depolarisation populations. The proposal is a resubmission because problems with EMU prevented it being run. The only comment made at the round it was granted time was that it is challenging.
