The magnetic excitation spectrum in Fe1.07Te

DOI

We propose to investigate the high energy magnetic spectrum in Fe1.07Te. We have previously investigated the fluctuations in Fe1.14Te in the incommensurate phase and have found a large difference between this compound and the published Fe1.05Te results. We wish to investigate an intermediate concentration to determine if these changes are continuous with interstitial iron doping or whether they are associated with the sharp transition from commensurate to incommensurate structures present at Fe~1.12Te. Using the same incident energies and experimental configurations will allow us to directly compare the integrated spectral weight and peak positions as a function of energy transfer.
