Southampton, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, KCL, UCL Royal Free Block Allocation Group (BAG)

DOI

This BAG coordinates activities of groups from the South of the UK. The focus is on projects in Immunology, transcriptional regulation, and enzymology. Particular strengths are antimicrobial resistance research (AMR), drug development, and the macromolecular complexes that several of the groups target. Previous highlights are activities in rational protein design (Bristol), immunology/enzymology (Southampton), and HPMX enzymology (KCL). We are interested in dynamic structural biology (Southampton), see ESRF news (13-7-22), and use spectroscopy and SAXS to gain this insight. The bag is joined by new PI members from Bristol and Southampton. For our projects we apply for time on crystallographic beamlines, spectroscopy (BM07 and icOS), SAXS and cryoEM.
