In a recent experiment on NIMROD (RB1120193) we have studied the microscopic structure of Laponite suspensions at 2 concentrations, namely Cw=1.5% and Cw=3.0%, at both the liquid and arrested states (as a gel or a Wigner glass, respectively). At these concentrations the DCS is dominated by the water contribution and the radial distribution of water relative to the Laponite surface is mostly an outcome of the EPSR simulation used in order to extract the structural information in real space. Here we propose to perform a SANDALS experiment on a hydrated Laponite powder, h=0.23g water/g Laponite, in order to verify the interesting predictions obtained by the previous experiment as far as ordering of water layers close to the Laponite surface and polarization of the first few hydration water layers. The higher Laponite/H2O proportion of the present experiment will be a constraint to the EPSR
