Maternal folic acid supplementation during pregnancy prevents hepatic steatosis in offspring of rat dams fed high-fat diet, which is associated with the regulation of gut microbiota

In the study, we give maternal rats high-fat diet (HFD) with 5 mg/kg folic acid, focusing on offspring hepatic steatosis in weaning and exploring the mechanism through the gut-liver axis.
