Skin becomes a target of drug delivery because the transdermal routes are non-invasive, can be self-administrated, improves patient compliance and can provide a release for long periods of time. One of the greatest challenges for transdermal delivery is that only a limited number of drugs can penetrate the skin by this route. This proposal will focus on the interaction between the model membrane and surfactants, and try to understand the influence of surfactant fluidity. This work may contribute to the surfactant-based transdermal drug delivery system in the future.
