Microbial diversity in the bottom waters of methane seeps at SCS

The impact of methane seepage on cold seep microbial communities in the bottom water is poorly constrained. Here, we compared the characterization of bacterial and archaeal communities in the bottom water of Haima methane seeps at the South China Sea (SCS) with different seepage intensity by using high-throughput sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene.
