Novel Alginate Adsorption onto High Surface Energy Crystal Faces of Calcite

In this novel proposal we will investigate adsorption onto the non-equilibrium face of calcite the first time this has been attempted. This will compliment and extend our previous work studying adsorption on the stable (104) face of calcite and provide new insight into biomineralisation and solution crystallization of this important mineral in a unique fashion.
