Is there a CMC for surfactants in non-aqueous solvents?

The aim of this project is to use SANS to determine if a critical micelle concentration (CMC) exists for the formation of inverse micelles in non-polar solvents. The CMC is a fundamental property in colloid science, but it is only well understood in polar aqueous solvents. It is an unresolved question whether inverse micelles form at a critical concentration in non-polar liquids [1], in comparison to the well understood behavior in water.
