General Description This series narrates the story of Jasper, a man with Down Syndrome who starts working in the packaging area of Tytgat Chocolat firm, a chocolate truffles factory in Vosselaar (Amberes, Belgium). Roman, the executive boss of the company, contracts people with cognitive disabilities as packers in the honour of his dead sister Indra, the first packer with Down Syndrome in the factory. At the moment of Jasper’s arrival, Tytgat Chocolat is dealing with a bad prognostic in its economic situation. The bookkeeper of the company announces a bankruptcy. Tytgat Chocolat needs to improve its profits and a way of achieving that would be the mechanization of the packaging area, a decision that threatens the job of Jasper and his colleagues. Roman creates the contest of “The Golden Truffle” in order to boost sales and avoid the dismissal of the packers, and the company has good results soon. This initiative awards three prizes to those who find one of the three gold truffles located in Tytgat Chocolat’s boxes, which is exchanged for money. In parallel, Jasper integrates into the work environment, and he falls in love with Tina, one of his coworkers. Nevertheless, Tina and her mother Katarina, the taster and maker of the flavour of Tytgat Chocolat’s truffles, are deported to Kosovo, their country of origin, since they are illegally living in the European country. Jasper and some of his colleagues find out that Tina is one of the winners of the firm contest. She unknowingly had the third golden truffle in her locker of the factory changing room. However, she cannot receive the prize because she and her mother are already in Kosovo. Additionally, since the third winner of the golden truffle did not appear, and rumours of fraud began to be associated with Tytgat Chocolat, Roman secretly creates a fourth golden truffle. Therefore, he tries not to publicize the existence of Tina’s truffle. Jasper and some of his friends from work decide to plan a secret road trip to Kosovo and go after Tina. With everything prepared and a cover to shield them from the controlling gaze of their families, Jasper’s gang starts the journey to Kosovo. After a trip full of vicissitudes, Jasper arrives in Kosovo and finds Tina. Jasper’s parents realize the real love that their son feels for Tina and his determination to fulfil his own will. After his journey, Jasper has developed his self-reliance and decides to stay with Tina in her country.
