Intra-locus sexual conflict in the three-spined stickleback genome

We aimed at testing the prediction that intra-locus sexual conflict maintain genetic diversity in natural population through balancing selection. We performed whole genome sequencing of 50 males and 50 females three-spined stickleback (Gasterosteus aculeatus) in order to search for genomic patterns of intersex differentiation.
