Controlling superfluid stiffness and Tc in new pnictide superconductors

DOI

Our previous studies of superconducting LiFeAs derivatives revealed a significant difference in Uemura scaling compared with all other studied pnictides. This experiment is designed to probe this difference further with new and as yet unreported dopings, intended to manipulate the band structure and Fermi surface topology. This is motivated by a theoretical result relating the superfluid stiffness (which is enhanced in LiFeAs compared to other pnictides) to an integral of the Fermi velocity over the Fermi surface. We propose to measure the superfluid stiffness in our new compounds to look for changes that may be explained using this theory.
