The ship-based experiment Transarktika 2019 was performed during April 2019 in the area between Svalbard and Franz Josef Land. The R/V "Akademik Treshnikov" drifted during this month with the sea ice. During the drift a meteorological site was installed including a 10m-tower at a distance of 350 m from the vessel. A meteorological temperature profiler and a water vapor radiometer were installed on the second open deck of R/V "Akademik Treshnikov" at the height 30 m. Radiosoundings were carried out twice-daily. The regional climate model COSMO-CLM (CCLM) was used with a horizontal resolution of 5 km for the Barents and Kara Sea. Model output is available every 1 h. In the vertical, the model extends up to 22 km with 60 vertical levels. Sea ice concentration was taken from AMSR2 data. Sea ice thickness was prescribed daily from interpolated Pan-Arctic Ice Ocean Modeling and Assimilation System (PIOMAS) fields.
