Study of bacterial community in rhizosphere soil of lettuce plant cultivated under different cover crops

We investigated the changes on bacterial community structures in rhizosphere soil of lettuce plant cultivated in soil amended with rye (R), hairy vetch (HV), and mixture of R and HV (M) cover crop residues in comparison with control (C) soil. Fresh cover crop residue was incorporated in bulk soil and lettuce plants were grown on it and harvested at the mid-growth and mature stages of the plants. DNA of rhizosphere soil of lettuce plants were subjected to the 16S rRNA sequencing.
