The complete mitogenome sequences of Benedenia seriolae isolates derived from Japanese yellowtails

Infection with the skin fluke Benedenia seriolae is a serious threat of yellowtail aquaculture. A previous study using partial mitogenomic sequences revealed an extensive molecular divergence among geographically separated B. seriolae populations. To assess the genetic divergence and diversity of Japanese B. seriolae populations, we determined the complete mitogenome sequences of 12 B. seriolae isolates collected from four localities across Japan.
