Data and code for the manuscript "Impacts of marine organic emissions on low level stratiform clouds – a large eddy simulator study" by Prank et al., submitted to ACP

DOI

This dataset consists of UCLALES-SALSA model output of the experiments presented in the manuscript "Impacts of marine organic emissions on low level stratiform clouds – a large eddy simulator study" by Prank et al. and the model code used for making these simulations. In these experiments the DYCOMS II field campaign conditions were simulated with varying marine emission fluxes of sea salt, primary organics and volatile organic compounds.

UCLALES-SALSA combines the widely used UCLA Large Eddy Simulator with a detailed aerosol-cloud microphysics model SALSA. The model includes various sea spray emission parameterizations and simulates isoprene and monoterpene fluxes from sea surface. Secondary organic aerosol formation is modelled using the Volatility Basis Set approach.
