The purpose of the SAGE survey programme is to collect data on a broad range of self-reported assessments of health and well-being. An individual's self-rated health will be linked to anchoring vignettes and selected objective measures of health to:-Improve comparability across individuals, communities and populations;-Assess performance on measured tests in a range of different domains of health;-Measure well-being, happiness and quality of life;-Collect biomarker information;-Introduce a longitudinal study design; and,-Investigate compression of morbidity in adult and aging populations.
