The spin-chain systems with general formula A¿3ABO6, crystallizing in the K4CdCl6 (space group R -3 c) type structure has started attracting a lot attention in recent years due to geometrical frustration effect in this family due to triangular arrangement of antiferromagnetically coupled ferromagnetic chains. For instance, partially disordered antiferromagnetism in Ca3CoRhO6. The compound Sr3NiRhO6 also crystallises in R -3 c structure. Recently we have investigated inelastic excitations in Sr3NiRhO6, which reveal magnetic excitations up to 85K despite of a sharp drop in the susceptibility only below 20K. We therefore propose here to carry out neutron diffraction measurements on Sr3NiRhO6 between 2K and 100K to investigate the magnetic structure of this compound. The results of magnetic structure are very important to understand the observed inelastic response.
