Ji-Chuan Decoction Ameliorates Slow Transit Constipation via Integrated Regulation of the Intestinal Microbiota and Enteric Nervous System

STC mice established with compound diphenoxylate were effectively treated with JCD. The results show that JCD can promote intestinal motility, increase acetylcholine content, reduce enteric inflammation, restore intestinal dysbiosis, improve metabolic dysfunction, and regulate enteric nervous system-related target proteins such as AKT, ChAT, GDNF and GFAP.
