Gridded bathymetry data obtained by multibeam echosounder during HEINCKE cruises HE417, HE432, HE441, HE447, HE470 and HE471 between March 2014 and September 2016

DOI
  1. Gridded bathymetry data obtained by multibeam echosounder (MBES; Kongsberg EM710 onboard R/V Heincke) with a spatial resolution of 1.0 m x 1.0 m or 0.5 m x 0.5 m. Until July 2015, the seafloor was largely flat and featureless. From August 2016, shallow craters and mounds can be observed. In combination with increased methane concentrations in bed sediment samples, the craters have been identified as pockmarks.
