16S shell microbiome analysis of green and rock crabs from Atlantic Canada

This study used a 16S rRNA microbiome sequencing analysis to profile the bacterial community on the shell of European green crabs (Carcinus maenas) and Atlantic rock crabs (Cancer irrotatus) from Atlantic Canada. The study demonstrated differences in shell microbial diversity and community compostition between sampling locations in rock crabs and between rock and green crabs sampled from the same location.
