In this study, we investigated and compared the faecal bacterial communities of wild-captured platypus to captive platypus in the Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary in the. We used high-throughput sequencing analysis targeting the hypervariable V4-V5 regions of the bacterial 16S rRNA gene.
