Spin excitations in Rb0.8Fe1.7Se2-xTex with Tc=20K

DOI

The alkaline iron selenide RbFe1.6+xSe2 superconductors are a new system of iron-based superconductor with Tc up to 32K. According to recent experimental results, the coexistence of several phases are found in superconducting compounds and the exact structure of superconducting phase or even the parent compounds are unclear. A detailed analysis of the spin waves, resonance, and Q(π, 0) spin excitations in superconducting A0.8Fe1.6+xSe2 suggest that spin excitations in this class of material are more complicated than the usual 122 and deserve further inelastic neutron scattering investigation. By suppressing Tc to 20K in Rb0.8Fe1.7Se2-xTex samples, it would be interesting to see the evolution of the spin resonance and (π, 0) spin excitation, and study the interplay between superconductivity and localized antiferromagnetic order.
