Study of the bioprotective effectiveness of trehalose/glycerol mixtures on lysozyme

DOI

The proposed experiment aims to study the dynamics of hydrated lysozyme in presence of trehalose, glycerol and trehalose/glycerol mixtures at different relative concentration in order to link the dynamic properties to the different bioprotectant degree. By performing runs of 12 hours and the necessary calibration and empty cell measurements, we estimate a total of 6 days of beam time on OSIRIS for the required statistics.
