Terrigenous sortable silt of sediment core GeoB13824-1

DOI

Sortable silt (10 - 63 µm) arithmetical mean size (SSmean in µm) and percentage (SS%) values can be tightly linked to hydrodynamic processes and can be used as a relative flow-strength indicator. Thus, sortable silt proxies give evidence for shifts in water mass circulations strength with low (high) SSmean and SS% indicative for weak (strong) current strength.
