The two .tar files contain maps along X,Y,Z of all M>10^13 Msol simulated galaxy clusters in the CUR1 box of Vazza et al. 2014 http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2016MNRAS.459...70V.
Each map shows the 3 x 3 R100 projected volume along X,Y,Z for al clusters.
Each .fits map has the followig structure
plane 0=average projected gas density [g/cm^3],
1=bolometric X-ray emission (arbitrary units);
2=av.mass-weighted temperature[K],
3=average mass-weight. magnetic -field, model0 [muG]
4=average mass-weight. B-field, model1 [muG]
5=radio emission for model 0 @1.4Ghz (erg/s/Hz/pixel);
6=emission weighted radio spectral index (model 0)
7=as 5, but for model 1
8=as 6, but for model 1,
The initial ID refer to different clusters in the simulation.
Each pixel is 146 kpc (also the input 3D resolution of the simulation).
The distribution of magnetic field strength is generated in post-processing as follows:
- model 1 assumes B=0.8 muG * (n/10^-4 /cm^3)^0.5 .
- model 2 assumes B=1.8 muG * (n/10^-4 /cm^3)^0.3 .
The formatted tables give the halo catalogs at z=0 and z=0.5 (see meaning of columns within the files).
