Spin dynamics on the frustrated Fe7 molecular cluster

DOI

Fe7 is a magnetic cluster formed by two Fe(III) triangles bridged together by a Fe(III) ion. The antiferromagnetic exchange interaction within the two triangles makes the system highly frustrated. Frustration effects in molecular clusters are still not much explored and this molecule provides an excellent opportunity for investigating the effects of frustration in the magnetic properties of zero-dimensional systems. We therefore ask for IRIS beam time to determine the low energy spin dynamics of Fe7 frustrated nanomagnet.
