Data Set - Black carbon aerosol reductions during COVID-19 confinement quantified by aircraft measurements over Europe

DOI

The data was analyzed in the publication by Krüger et al. 2022 (https://acp.copernicus.org/preprints/acp-2021-1100/). The study shows the decrease in atmospheric black carbon aerosol during the first COIVD-19 lockdown in 2020. The dataset consists of aircraft BC data sampled over Europe in 2017 (https://acp.copernicus.org/articles/22/5877/2022/) and 2020 (https://journals.ametsoc.org/view/journals/bams/aop/BAMS-D-21-0012.1/BAMS-D-21-0012.1.xml?tab_body=pdf) as well as EMAC model results for the same periods along the HALO flight tracks.
