Neutron diffraction study on reentrant superconductor Eu(Fe1-xIrx)2As2

DOI

We observed reentrant superconductivity (SC) in Ir doped EuFe2As2 near 22 K in both resistivity and susceptibility. For the optimally doped sample, we witnessed two distinct transitions: a SC transition below 22 K which is followed by resistivity reentrance. Further, the low field magnetization shows a prominent diamagnetic signal due to SC with a reentrant feature. The magnetization reveals the magnetic ordering temperature (TM) of Eu2+ moments shifts towards lower temperature with increasing field up to 0.1 T, above which it is a field stabilized FM phase. This suggests, below 18 K, Eu2+ moments are most likely ordered AFM with the presence of a FM component. The information on the magnetic structure will be important to understand the interplay of magnetism and SC in Eu(Fe1-xIrx)2As2. We therefore propose to carry out neutron diffraction study on these compounds using WISH.
