Water levels measured by NSW Government agencies (1886–1949)

DOI

Lake George water levels for the period 1886–1949, reproduced from an Australian Bureau of Transport Economics (BTE) report (Bureau of Transport Economics, 1979, p. 63–65). The data were originally measured by New South Wales Government (NSW) agencies – Noakes (1962) refers to the NSW Department Works and Local Government, while the BTE report states, “[s]ome uncertainty on datum for lake levels has existed in the past but this has been resolved following work by DMR [NSW Department of Main Roads]” (Bureau of Transport Economics, 1979, p. 60). The lake levels presented in the BTE report are given as annual values representing December of each year.
