Arthropod Abundance and Emergence under Simulated Heavy Rainfall Events in Adventdalen, Svalbard

Regular inventories of arthropod functional groups sampled in covered (mesh tent) and uncovered pitfall traps in two contrasting sites (polygonal tundra, organic soils & loess terrace, mineral soils) over June & July 2023.

Treatment plots received 50mm additional rainfall simulated through irrigation at different timing within the summer season. Control plots were set out for comparison, which received no extra rain.
