Cooperative Catalysis of Olefin Metathesis over Single Metal Site and Bronsted Acid Site in Zeolite

DOI

Neutron powder diffraction of W/Re/Mo-doped USY zeolites will enable us to rationalize their exceptionally high catalytic activities towards the cross-metathesis reaction between ethene and trans-2-butene. This can be achieved by studying H+ (D+) locations, the adsorption geometry of trans-2-butene, and M=CH-CH3 (M: W/Re/Mo) intermediate locations in W-USY, Re-USY and Mo-USY samples.
