SURMOB2018: Opinions on Social Issues in Suriname in 2018

The SurMob2018 study collected data among 1273 inhabitants of Suriname. The survey covered the following topics: • Social background, including ethnicity and migration. These items include all compulsory social background variables of the International Social Survey Programme and more. • Social mobility, i.c. education and first and most recent occupations of respondent and current/last occupation of partner, as well as education and occupation of father and mother of the respondent (at age 12). • Migration module on siblings of respondent, including age of migration, country of destination, education and first & most recent occupations of four brothers/sisters of the respondent. • Attitudes on role of government (60 items) and social networks (60 items), covering the 2016 Role of Government V and 2017 Social Networks III modules of the International Social Survey Programme.
