Temperature and light/dark treatment in Laminaria solidungula and Saccharina latissima from Kongsfjorden, Spitsbergen, during the polar night 2016/17

DOI

Change in laminarin contents in Saccharina latissima (lat) and Laminaria solidungula (sol) at time of sampling (Oct 2016; ini_) and after 14 days at different experimental temperatures (°C; 0_ / 4_ / 8_) in light/dark 12/12 (L), or continuous darkness (D).ini as the control group constitutes the same samples as analysed for the laminarin content of the respective centre regions in October (doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.903133). The number of replicates for the other groups was increased in order to reduce the high within-group variation, which was not possible for the ini-group.
