Experimental results obtained by the application of solar-based photo-Fenton process at natural pH for pineapple processing wastewater treatment

DOI

This dataset includes experimental results about the use of the fertilizers Fe-DTPA and Fe-EDDS as iron source for solar driven photo-Fenton process at circumneutral pH. The final objective was to evaluate the performance of the treatment for the removal of a mixture of agrochemicals (imidachloprid, diuron and propiconazole) from simulated wastewater produced in the pineapple fruit processing, to obtain an effluent that could be reused in on-farm irrigation. As it can be observed in the file, the optimized operational conditions for both chelating agents were obtained at an Fe+3/H2O2 ratio of 10/25 mg L-1, reaching close to or total pesticides depletion in about 20 minutes. It also includes data to evaluate the effect on the radicals scavenging and chelates stability of organic matter and inorganic salts as well as phytotoxicity of generated byproducts. This work was performed in the framework of the H2020-MSCA-RISE-2015 project under REA grant agreement 690618
