Quantitative mineral phase determination of the core material from two Renaissance Statuettes

DOI

We propose to characterize the core material of two Renaissance Statues. The results of this study will provide us with quantitative information on the mixture of material for the core build up for the direct cast procedure. Prossible indentification of quartz and feldspats will open the way of datin the objects via thermo luminesence.ND-TOF diffraction allows the study of a bulk sample. In this way we are able to obtain good estimation of the average of the inorganic material of the core.
