The aim of this study was to carry out a demographic analysis of the subdivided population of the Scilly Isles using parish registers, Methodist church registers, and census enumerators' books.

Variables Baptism Records Date of baptism, name, gender, whether illegitimate, date of birth if known, parents' names, place of baptism, occupation of parent (usually the father). Marriage Records Date of marriage, husband's and wife's names, places of residence and addresses of husband and wife, marital status of husband and wife, ages of husband and wife, occupation of husband, husband's and wife's father's names and occupations. Burial Records Date of burial, name, gender, age, place of burial, parents' names, other identifying information (usually occupation or name of spouse).
