Ciona robusta, Ciona savignyi, Botrylloides leachi, Botryllus schlosseri targeted loci environmental

High-Throughput Sequencing was used to compare the tunic microbiomes of Ciona robusta, Ciona savignyi, Botrylloides leachi, and Botryllus schlosseri. The four species were sampled from three distinct coastal locations in New Zealand. An approximately 400 bp amplicon spanning the V3 and V4 hyper-variable regions of the 16S rRNA gene was targeted.
