Felsic magma vesiculation revealed by synchrotron-based X-ray tomographic microscopy

DOI

This data collection contains X-ray tomographic scans of a felsic magma (natural obsidian of Mayor Island) vesiculating at 1100C. 8 1 second scans have been acquired at an interval of 2 minutes. This collection also includes a reference scan of the material at room temperature prior to heating. The data were acquired and processed at the TOMCAT beamline of the Swiss Light Source.
