Snow-glide model in LTER Research Site Stubai Valley, Austria

DOI

The aim of the study was to identify the most important drivers for snow-gliding and to establish a spatial snow glide model (SSGM). The snow-glide measurements were conducted for the Kaserstattalm within the LTER Research Site Stubai Valley. The dataset provides information about the influence variables on snow gliding such as: slope, aspect, tree precence and density, surface rougness, winter precipitation, mean winter temperature,... The measurements were conducted during winter in the period 1997-2002. The dataset also contains a shapefile representing the distribution of the 65 measurement points.
